Across the Board - training for charity boards looking to recruit young people
This year, Young Trustees Movement is excited to be launching Across the Board, a brand new training offer for charity boards which aims to equip chairs & trustees with the knowledge and tools they need to embrace working with, recruiting and retaining young people.
By the end of our Across the Board training, participants will be equipped to:
- Identify the four levels of oppression (the Four I's) & how they can create barriers for young people in board settings.
- Attract, onboard & retain young people onto boards in line with best anti-oppressive & inclusive practices.
- Communicate the business case & moral imperative for diverse & inclusive boards, including the unique value of young trustees in governance.
- Utilise Young Trustees' Movement's resources to develop a clear action plan for their board to begin sustainably incorporating best practices into their work.
- Confidently start conversations & foster a culture of openness regarding the inclusion of young people within their organisation, embedding inclusive ways of recruiting & retaining trustees into board strategy.
Pricing
We want our Across the Board to be accessible to charities of all shapes and sizes. That's why we're offering it at a sliding scale according to your charity's size:

| Small charity (annual income £50,000 - £150,000 ) | £350.00 |
| Medium charity (annual income £150,000 - £500,000 ) | £550.00 |
| Large charity (annual income £500,000 - £1 million) | £750.00 |
| Super charity (annual income >£1 million) | £950.00 |
Workshops will be delivered on-line, but we may be able to accommodate requests for this training to be delivered in-person based on staff availability.
